OUR CTA PROGRAMME
Our CTA programme is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) and is it designed to provide a comprehensive and innovative learning experience for aspiring CAs.

DURATION OF OUR CTA PROGRAMME
- CTA Phase 2 - Direct Entry (CTA Completed in one year)
- CTA Phase 1 – Reduced Workload (CTA completed over 18 months)
- Flexible Entry Route (Refresher Course) – (Designed for those with accounting degrees older than 5 years)
Number of intakes per year – 2 Intakes
- January 2026 intake - applications close 13 December 2025
- July 2026 intake - applications open 1 March 2026
ZCTA Entry Requirements
1. CTA Phase 2 – Direct Entry (Complete your CTA in 1 year)
- Accounting degree – Equivalent to class 2.2 or better, acquired within the past 3 years.
- Accounting degree – Equivalent to class 3 or better, with an average of Class 2.2 in final year modules or with a relevant Masters degree, passed within the past 3 years.
- Professional qualification – For example, ACCA, CGI etc. (obtained within the previous 3 years).
- CTA Level 1 or equivalent at another ICAZ-accredited institution – Successful completion of CTA Level 1, enabling direct admission into CTA Phase 2 (passed within the previous 3 years).
- CTA Level 2 or equivalent at another ICAZ-accredited institution – Students with less than 3 attempts at CTA Level 2.
- CTA Programme equivalent to the Reduced Workload programme from another ICAZ-accredited institution – with an average of at least 35%.
- CTA bridging course from another ICAZ accredited institution (acquired within the past 3 years).
2. CTA Phase 1 (Reduced Workload) – Complete your CTA over 18 Months
- Accounting degree - Equivalent to class 3 or better, obtained within the past 5 years.
- Relevant masters degree - Obtained within the past 5 years.
- Professional qualification e.g. ACCA, CGI etc obtained within the previous 5 years.
- Equivalent reduced workload CTA programme from another ICAZ accredited institution - Students with less than 3 attempts.
- CTA Level 1 or equivalent at another ICAZ-accredited institution - Students with less than 3 attempts at CTA Level 1.
- CTA Level 1 or equivalent at another ICAZ-accredited institution - Students with 3 or more than 3 attempts at CTA Level 1, achieving at least an average of 35% as a final result (subject to availability of space and performance improvement agreement).
- CTA bridging course from an ICAZ accredited institution (obtained within the past 5 years).
3. Flexible Entry Route (Refresher Course)
- Tailored for students who do not meet the CTA entry requirements because their qualifications are now older than 5 years.

Our programme is structured on a yearly basis, and we do not have semesters at Accounts On Call.

Tuition fees exclude textbooks. Students will have to purchase the prescribed textbooks and a financial calculator.

How much is your CTA tuition fee and is it charged per semester?
- Our CTA Phase 2 (1-year CTA programme) is $2 200 for the full programme.
- The Phase 1 (18 Months CTA programme) is $2 900 for the full programme.
- No additional fees are charged. We do not have semesters at Accounts On Call.
Is the tuition fee required in full on registration?
- Our standard payment structure allows you to pay 30% on registration and the balance payable over time.
- In addition, we offer customised payment plans at no additional charge.
Can I enroll for the 1-Year CTA programme whilst I am working?
- Yes. At AOC, we do not differentiate between part-time and full-time. You can enroll for either; the 1-Year CTA Programme (Phase 2 class) or the 18 months CTA Programme (Phase 1 class) even if you are going to work.
- All our classes are after hours, on weekends and/or on public holidays.
- All our classes are recorded and are accessible on MyAOC after class.
Is the CTA certificate I get after studying with AOC recognised?
Yes, students from all the ICAZ-accredited CTA service providers receive the same certificate issued by ICAZ upon successful completion of the CTA programme.
Can I enroll with AOC if I am in a remote area or I’m not in Zimbabwe?
- Yes, you can. At AOC we have a blend of online and physical lessons.
- You are able to join our physical sessions online, from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet connectivity.
- For exams, we can arrange for the exams to be written in the foreign country, provided the exam conditions are met.

- Copy of Degree Certificate (if the certificate is not available you can use your transcript)
- Copy of Degree Transcript (if you do not have an official certificate you can use the online results)
- If you are waiting for your part 4.2 results, you can apply using your part 4.1 results.
- Any other relevant qualification e.g previous CTA transcript
- Application Fee – $10 usd

- Login and apply using the details you have created
- Click apply and follow the prompts to submit your application
- Check banking details and pay $10 USD application fee (the application fee can also be paid in cash, swipe, or EcoCash on campus)
- Share proof of payment of the $10 application fee with finance and await confirmation.
